This year, I would like to involve parents in their child's library experience as much as possible as your child will be learning important information regarding digital citizenship and navigating their digital world. It is critical that parents are aware of how to best guide and support their child's digital walk. Here are some things you can do to stay connected with the happenings in the Walterville library and school.
- Join Remind. Remind is a free, safe, and simple messaging tool that helps teachers share important updates and reminders with students and parents. Subscribe by email, text, or buy using the Remind app. All personal information is kept private. Teachers will never see your phone number, nor will you see theirs. Visit remind.com to learn more. If you're ready to join, text "@weslibrary" to 81010 and get reminders of when books are due, student projects posted, digital tips and more.
- Subscribe to this website to get posts delivered right to your inbox. Stay current on the happenings in the library and around the school. Simply enter your email in the box in the margin on the bottom right of this page and click the "subscribe" button.
- Subscribe to your child's teacher website. Visit this Walterville Homepage, click on your child's teacher name in the left hand column and subscribe to their classroom blog. It's an easy way to follow what is happening in your child's classroom!
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
